Washington Redskins TE Jordan Reed won’t be suspended for throwing a punch at a Carolina player last Monday night, but he still won’t see the field on Saturday.

The ex-Florida star is dealing with an injured shoulder and likely will be held out of Washington’s game against the Chicago Bears on Saturday afternoon, according to Pro Football Talk.

Reed’s shoulder has been bothering him for weeks and may have been the source of the scuffle that led to him throwing a punch at the Panther player last week.

Reed has 61 catches for 646 yards and five touchdowns this season. The Redskins will certainly feel his absence as they fight for their playoff lives on Saturday.
