The Florida Gators are in the midst of coaching turnovers thanks news of Will Muschamp’s dismissal breaking over the weekend. With Muschamp down to his final two games as a head coach at Florida, the Gators want to send him out on top.

Here’s a look at UF’s best and worst numbers before Saturday’s matchup against Eastern Kentucky.

The Good

2: two games remain for Muschamp. This could also be a bad number, depending on how you look at it. But with their head down to his final two weeks, it could be the emotional motivation the Gators need to finish their season out on a good note.

201: rushing yards per game in SEC play. The Gators are one of four teams with more than 200 yards rushing against SEC opponents and Florida has racked up more than 200 yards rushing it its last three games.

0: passing touchdowns allowed last week against one of SEC’s best passing offenses. The Gators’ secondary has been on fire, allowing no more than one passing touchdown in a game since Oct. 4.

The Bad

10: penalties committed against South Carolina. After turning a corner this season in regard to penalties, the on-field discipline has been lacking the last two weeks. Saturday’s game against the Gamecocks mark the second straight week Florida committed double-digit penalties.

15: SEC losses under Muschamp. The embattled Florida head coach struggled to have any consistent success in conference play and his final record will finish with 15 conference losses, averaging more than three SEC losses per year.

4: just four wins against South Carolina, Georgia and Florida State. The ultimate reason why Muschamp was let go is because of just his four wins against some of Florida’s biggest rivals. He’ll look to make it five wins before it’s all said and done.
