The Gators fell victim to unfortunate timing this weekend as top tight end target Nick Eubanks of Plantation, Fla. did not make it to UF campus for his scheduled official visit.

Zach Abolverdi of SEC Country reported that the three-star tight end prospect was too sick to travel to Gainesville according to one of Eubanks’ coaches.

Eubanks visited Alabama last weekend and is scheduled to visit Southern California next weekend, meaning the Gators might not be able to get him back on campus before National Signing Day.

As the No. 15 tight end in this year’s class, Eubanks would add to what is already a solid haul for the Gators, who are currently ranked No. 5 in 247Sports composite rankings with 26 commits.

Florida is looking to add depth at tight end following the departure of sixth-year senior Jake McGee.
