Georgia enters its bye week with several key players nursing injuries.

Running back Sony Michel has a groin strain. Michel played in Saturday’s 9-6 win over Missouri. He briefly went to the locker room at one point during the game, but returned soon after. He led the Bulldogs with 87 yards rushing on 26 carries.

Defensive tackle Chris Mayes missed Saturday’s game with a knee injury. Mayes was ruled out in pregame warmups, and the injury is not believed to be serious. Linebacker Jordan Jenkins was out with a groin strain, while wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie did not play due to a hamstring injury. Both are healing, and should be back on the field soon.

Freshman defensive tackle Trent Thompson tweaked his ankle during the game. Center Brandon Kublanow played despite an ankle injury.

“Now that we’ve got a couple weeks, we’ll be sure to rest these guys, to get them in a position to be as healthy and rested as possible,” head coach Mark Richt told dawgnation.com.

Georgia lost star running back Nick Chubb to a season-ending knee injury earlier this month.

The Bulldogs are off this week. They travel to Jacksonville, Fla. to face rival Florida on Oct. 31.
