Coming off their fourth Top 10 signing haul in the last five years, the Georgia Bulldogs are cleaning up in the early stages of the next recruiting season.

The 2016 class has a chance to be Mark Richt’s most impressive yet thanks to commitments from a nation-leading two consensus five-stars. Georgia is one of five SEC teams currently situated in the way-too-early Top 10.

Jacob Eason, QB, Lake Stevens, Wash. (five-star) — You often hear the phrase ‘program-changer’ when elite quarterbacks are mentioned and Eason fits the bill from out West. The 6-foot-5, 205-pound pro-style passer is a near unanimous choice by recruiting services as the top player at his position in the 2016 class and is first overall — out of all prospects — according to 247Sports. If Georgia can keep its crown jewel committed, there has already been talking of Eason competing for the starting job as a true freshman thanks to an incredible arm and an NFL-caliber frame that hasn’t yet fully developed. He’s been committed since July 2014 and there are no signs of Eason landing elsewhere.

Derrick Brown, DT, Buford, Ga. (five-star) — Widely-considered the nation’s top run-stopper, Brown released his Top 8 schools (all SEC programs) in order last month on Twitter with Georgia leading the way followed by Western Division rivals Auburn and Alabama. The Tigers have reportedly picked up steam, but if Brown lands to Athens, he would be the Bulldogs’ second consecutive top-ranked defensive tackle signing, bolstering a loaded front seven at Georgia.

Julian Rochester, DT, Powder Springs, Ga. (five-star) — Most on the recruiting trail believe this 6-foot-6, 315-pound monster is heading to Auburn, but Georgia isn’t giving up on a player with freakish ability and unmatched size for an athlete at his position. Rochester shined at Sunday’s The Opening regional in Atlanta along with Brown, the only player in Georgia ranked ahead of him along the defensive front. The five-star pass rusher was an all-state selection as a junior and the defensive player of the year in his region.

Willie Allen, OT, New Orleans (five-star) — Signing Allen is a longshot for the Bulldogs who are behind several other SEC programs (including nearby LSU) for his services. He attended LSU’s Junior Day on Feb. 8 and liked what the Tigers had to offer. Wanted badly by Alabama as a centerpiece of next year’s class up front, this five-star recruit is rated as the fourth-best offensive tackle and the No. 30 overall player in the country.

Ben Cleveland, OT, Toccoa, Ga. (five-star) — Another top prospect with ideal size at 6-foot-7 and a lean 315 pounds, Cleveland committed to the Bulldogs July 2014 and could be a cornerstone-caliber signing at the tackle position. Cleveland moves well and has tremendous strength at the point of attack.

Demetris Robertson, ATH, Savannah, Ga. (four-star) — The Bulldogs feel they can flip this in-state star from Savannah Christian Prep before he signs with Alabama if they can seize an official visit. He committed to Crimson Tide assistant Kirby Smart one month before his junior season began last summer and as of now, remains solid on his decision. Robertson told 247Sports last week several SEC programs are in the mix along with Florida State, Oregon and Notre Dame. He hasn’t yet planned his official visits. At 6-foot-1, 165 pounds, Robertson is rated as the No. 1 athlete nationally and could be an impact player on either side of the football.
