The SEC has more money to go around than ever before thanks to the debut of the SEC Network at the start of the past academic school year. The Georgia Bulldogs are already finding ways to put the extra money to good use.

According to a report by the Associated Press, UGA has finalized plans to begin construction on a new indoor practice facility for its football program, although other athletics programs will be permitted to use the facility as well.

One of the few remaining SEC schools without an indoor facility, Georgia will begin construction in January, and the facility will reportedly adjoin the Butts-Mehre football building on the UGA campus.

Per the AP report, the university’s athletic association board approved a 2016 athletics budgets of more than $117 million — a significant rise from the $100 million budget approved for 2015 — and much of the added funds will go toward the new facility of a raise for men’s basketball coach Mark Fox.

No timetable for the completion of the indoor facility has been set as of time of publication.
