The 2026 college football season kicks off this month, and various preseason polls are being released.
The preseason Super 16 poll was revealed on Monday. While the Big Ten’s Ohio State and Oregon claim Nos. 1 and 2 in the poll, the SEC is well represented with 7 squads.
Texas leads the way at No. 4. The Longhorns received 3 first-place votes. Defending SEC champion Georgia is No. 5 with 2 first-place votes.

Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, LSU and Alabama also made the Super 16. Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Auburn, Florida and South Carolina are among the SEC teams that received votes, but missed the cut.
