Kentucky may not have produced a tremendous amount of NFL draft talent through the last 10 years, but the few players Kentucky has sent to the pros have almost all panned out.

Avery Williamson, Kentucky’s lone draftee a year ago, set a Titans rookie record for tackles in a season. Larry Warford, UK’s only draftee the year before, has already developed into one of the finest guards in the NFL. Randall Cobb is one of the league’s most electrifying weapons on offense, earning him a $40 million extension this offseason, and Danny Trevathan is now an impact starter for a Denver team that’ll contend for Super Bowls as long as Peyton Manning is under center.

So while UK cannot match the number of draftees produced by schools like Alabama, Florida, LSU and the like, it can claim more than a few relevant players in today’s NFL, indicating the Wildcats have more going on the gridiron than most realize.

This year, UK has two players likely to be drafted, both along the defensive line. Bud Dupree is pegged by many as a first-round pick and by some as high as a top 10 pick; if he goes higher than 64th (the last pick of the second round and the pick used to select Cobb in 2011) he’ll be UK’s highest drafted player since Dewayne Robertson went No. 4 overall in 2003. The hope is that Dupree achieves more success in the NFL than Couch ever did.

The Cats other 2015 draftee will likely be defensive end Za’Darius Smith, a former junior college transfer who starred for UK the last two seasons. Smith is a mid-round talent, but he’s becoming a trendy “upside pick” because of his large frame, his athleticism and his lack of years playing the game. Smith has only been playing football since late in his high school career, which leads many coaches to believe he’s easily moldable in addition to all his natural talent.

But before Thursday arrives and the draft begins, let’s take a look back at the last 10 years of the Wildcats draft history. Kentucky has produced 14 NFL draft picks in the last decade. Take a look:
