Spring practice can be a bit of a grind for experienced players that already enjoy a well-established role within the team.

Perhaps that’s why LSU RB Leonard Fournette decided to liven things up for Thursday’s practice with a little friendly banter on Twitter.

Fournette sent this message to Tigers DB Jamal Adams on Wednesday evening:

Adams was quick to take him up on that offer:

The exchange caused the following response from Tigers starting QB Brandon Harris:

Fournette appears to be putting a little heat on his quarterback to perform well during Thursday’s workout. Harris will be feeling the pressure to protect the football, lest his star running back getting mad at him for costing him 100 push ups and money for a steak of unknown cut and quality.

It’s good to see players relaxed and having fun with spring practice. LSU has high expectations for its 2016 season, and finding ways to keep things competitive in practice is sure to benefit the team in the long run.
