In his weekly lunchtime press conference on Monday, Les Miles gave reporters some updates on the health of several key players.

Last week, Miles said that linebackers Kwon Alexander and Lamar Louis would both play against Louisiana-Monroe after dealing with injuries over the previous week. Both players were on the sidelines, but Miles decided that neither was needed and kept them on the bench. He said both will be in action against Mississippi State on Saturday.

Meanwhile, sophomore center Ethan Pocic missed the ULM game after injuring an ankle against Sam Houston State. Miles said that Pocic would be ready to play on Saturday, despite relinquishing his starting spot to incumbent Elliott Porter, who returned from suspension against Louisiana-Monroe. Pocic could see some time at center, but Miles hinted that he could also be ready to step in at another position along the offensive line. What position that is remains to be seen, but the LSU line has had a hard time opening up holes in the running game in several instances already this season.
