LSU’s 2017 recruiting class just keeps getting bigger. For the second time on Saturday the Tigers landed a commitment, this time from fullback Tory Carter.

The 6-foot-2, 255-pound Carter, who also plays on the defensive line, is also being recruited by Auburn, Georgia and Clemson, however only the Tigers have extended a scholarship offer to him at this point. While no longer a premium position in college football, LSU still places a high value on the fullback position. In fact, the Tigers currently have five fullbacks on the roster, none of which are entering their senior seasons with the team.

The first commit of Saturday came from receiver Stephen Guidry, the nation’s top rated junior college target and with Austin Deculus’ pledge on Friday, the Tigers have landed three commits over the weekend. The 2017 LSU recruiting class now stands firm with 10 overall players committed to joining the Bayou Bengals.
