LSU hasn’t had the best news on the recruiting front lately when it comes to quarterbacks.

Four-star pledge Myles Brennan announced that he was re-opening his recruit on Nov. 30, seemingly in response to LSU offering Alabama commit Tua Tagovailoa. More recently, another four-star prospect, Lowell Narcisse announced he was decommiting from LSU. Narcisse specifically mentioned the lack of an offensive coordinator as the reason he could not stay firm in his pledge to the Tigers.

With new offensive coordinator Matt Canada announced Wednesday, things appear to be taking a turn for the positive. Brennan tweeted Wednesday that he is excited to meet with the new play-caller next month.

Brennan, a product of Saint Stanislaus (Bay Saint Louis, Miss.), won a spot in the prestigious The Opening Finals in this year’s Elite 11 competition camp series. He is rated the No. 6 pro-style quarterback of the 2017 class by 247Sports Composite.
