Former LSU coach Les Miles will be a hot name on the coaching market following the 2016 season.

With USC, Texas, Notre Dame and other top-flight schools potentially having openings, Miles has been linked to several programs.

However, on Saturday, USA TODAY writer Dan Wolken said Miles has been connected to a lesser job — Purdue:

It’s a long shot that Miles will end up at Purdue, where there’s little upside to competing every year against Michigan, Ohio State, Michigan State, Iowa, Nebraska and Wisconsin for Big Ten supremacy.

Wolken, though, says Miles isn’t the coach many people think he is:

We’ll see how the coaching carousel plays out, but don’t go making bets on Miles to Purdue just yet.
