LSU is the one team that is being mentioned as the biggest contender to knock off Alabama this season.

The Tigers have been projected by several to make the College Football Playoff, and they open a top five program in the country.

But it all comes down to the quarterback play of Brandon Harris. We know about how talented the offense and defense truly are, but Harris makes this team either good or great.

While Harris is a massive piece to the puzzle, new defensive coordinator Dave Aranda will be interesting to watch this year. Aranda is known for his elite defenses, and LSU is looking to get back to elite play on that side of the ball.

Thursday night, it was the SEC Network’s turn to predict how the Tigers will fare this season. Analysts Booger McFarland and Marcus Spears, both former LSU stars, made their predictions:

11-1, 7-1 SEC

Sep. 3 vs. Wisconsin: Win
Sep. 10 vs. Jacksonville State: Win
Sep. 17 vs. Mississippi State: Win
Sep. 24 at Auburn: Win
Oct. 1 vs. Missouri: Win
Oct. 8 at Florida: Win
Oct. 15 vs. Southern Miss: Win
Oct. 22 vs. Ole Miss: Win
Nov. 5 at Alabama: Win
Nov. 12 at Arkansas: Loss
Nov. 19 vs. South Alabama: Win
Nov. 24 at Texas A&M:

“LSU is tired of losing to Alabama,” Booger McFarland said. The two agreed that LSU would oddly lose on the road to Arkansas.
