Now that Les Miles has been pink-slipped at LSU, one of the most high-profile jobs in America is available.

The Tigers can offer everything that coaches look for at the FBS level. From premier facilities to elite recruits to hefty paychecks, there’s no reason the right hire couldn’t turn that program around immediately.

It’s not exactly a complete rebuild, either. The Bayou Bengals were ranked No. 5 in the preseason and feature a roster littered with future NFL talent, but Miles failed to evolve his approach on the offensive side of the football. Injecting some life into the passing game is all it takes to have a contender again.

Nevertheless, a big name like Jimbo Fisher from Florida State isn’t just going to scrap everything he’s built in Tallahassee to move to Baton Rouge. Houston’s Tom Herman, the hottest coach around, is a more realistic target.

Be sure to watch the video above for my thoughts on Fisher, Herman or perhaps somebody else being fitted for purple and gold.
