Freeze, Bjork confirm agreement in place between coach, Ole Miss
It’s official — Hugh Freeze will remain the coach of the Ole Miss Rebels.
Freeze and Ole Miss Athletic Director Ross Bjork both confirmed via Twitter Tuesday morning the head coach would remain in Oxford with a new contract in place.

This news comes in the aftermath of a report by the Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal on Monday night stating Freeze and Ole Miss had come to a verbal agreement on a new contract. There were also rumors swirling over the weekend that Freeze was weighing competing offers made by Ole Miss and the University of Florida, but UF denied it had made Freeze an offer early Monday morning.
Saturday Down South will update this story when the terms of the deal are officially announced.
