Freeze received an extension to his current deal last December. He’s in the third year of a now-four year deal with a base salary of $3 million. Freeze has performance-based incentives that hinge on conference championships, postseason accomplishments and academic performance.
Ole Miss director of athletics Ross Bjork met with the media on Monday, and did acknowledge he had been in talks with Freeze’s agent, Jimmy Sexton, about a new deal.
Ross Bjork said there’s been contract talks with Hugh Freeze and Jimmy Sexton, believes a new deal could be finished after the season.
