Speculation regarding the future of several Ole Miss players has already begun but arguably the team’s best young player doesn’t want to hear it. Sophomore receiver A.J. Brown plans to stick with the Rebels through thick and thin.

Brown sent out this tweet late Wednesday night, offering his support for his program and teammates.

The Starkville native was one of the gems of the Ole Miss 2016 recruiting class and certainly lived up to the hype on the field as a true freshman last season. The 6-foot-1, 220-pound Brown caught 29 passes for 412 yards and two touchdowns, and despite his inexperience, looked to be among the team’s most polished receivers his first year on campus.

If Brown continues to progress, along with fellow sophomore quarterback Shea Patterson, there’s little doubt the Rebels will have one of the conference’s best offenses next season. Last season, the team suffered from some poor performances from the offensive line but lose only one player off the two-deep from the season finale Egg Bowl and return several talented linemen.

It wouldn’t be a shock to see Ole Miss become the surprise of the conference and rise up the SEC West standings in 2017. If the Rebels accomplish that goal, it will be thanks to players like Brown rallying together and working toward taking out their frustrations on their opponents next season.
