Saturday’s slate of Week 10 games is upon us, everybody! I’ve got 50 questions on my mind that I have to ask you.

  1. Have you written goodbye letters to your loved ones in case the earth shatters when LSU and Alabama play on Saturday night?
  2. How many of you won that bet with your best friend that Florida would clinch the SEC East after the first week of November? Anybody?
  3. Clemson, which is No. 1 in the first College Football Playoff rankings, plays against No. 16 Florida State this Saturday. The Tigers have lost three straight and four of the last five to the Seminoles. Do they finally get over the hump this season?
  4. It’s interesting that this Iowa fan had this to say about what he called the SEC myth. The video is well done, and so were the Hawkeyes when they got burnt 45-28 by Tennessee (checks calendar) 308 days ago.
  5. Haven’t Iowa fans taken note from Bob Stoops and Dabo Swinney? You talk trash about the SEC after you beat it, not after you get smoked by it.
  6. By the way, Iowa lost in its last visit to Indiana. The 24-21 loss to the Hoosiers was part of a six-game losing streak to end the 2012 season at 4-8.
  7. Baylor WR Corey Coleman reached 20 receiving TDs on Thursday night in a 31-24 win over Kansas State. That’s more touchdowns than South Carolina (18), Vanderbilt (13) or Missouri (13) have this season.
  8. While many players that come out of Baylor are said to be “system players,” Coleman has proven by leaps and bounds that he is not.
  9. How much of Texas A&M QB Kyler Murray’s performance was due to his brilliance versus South Carolina not being brilliant at all on defense?
  10. How much is Josh Dobbs salivating after seeing that performance?
  11. Mark Richt has survived plenty of tough times where fans have called for his job. Does he make it through this?
  12. Dak Prescott became just the 6th SEC player to account for 100 career TDs. How high will he go in the draft?
  13. Anyone else a little bothered on Thursday night by Missouri wearing the black and chrome helmets when the rest of their uniforms were black and yellow? They have the same black and yellow helmets that match. Don’t get it.
  14. What are the chances that Brandon Harris or Jake Coker will be the hero in Tuscaloosa?
  15. Will it be neither?
  16. Does special teams become the deciding factor? According to ESPN, neither team is very good in that phase as Alabama is 83rd in the FBS and LSU is 99th in special teams efficiency.
  17. How does Ohio State fare against Minnesota without QB J.T. Barrett, who was suspended for operating a vehicle while intoxicated?
  18. By the way, do you agree with just a one-game suspension for that?
  19. Can Cardale Jones use this opportunity against the Gophers to win his starting job back?
  20. Why does Nick Saban hate rankings so much? His teams are always ranked really highly in them. Shouldn’t Group of Five teams be the ones that hate rankings that much?
  21. Would it make a difference if Larry the Dr. Pepper guy had a discussion with Saban about it?
  22. How nice would it be for the Gators if RB Kelvin Taylor ran like he did against Georgia (121 yards, 2 TDs) every week?
  23. Will Derrick Henry record a touchdown in a 14th straight game and extend the school record?
  24. Will Leonard Fournette keep his string of at least 150 rushing yards in every game this season alive?
  25. Would it be the same thing if the Big 12 just started playing 7-on-7 football?
  26. Speaking of the Big 12, how many Red Bulls will the scoreboard operator need in the TCU-Oklahoma State game?
  27. Will Ole Miss play inspired to get revenge against Arkansas after losing 30-0 to the Razorbacks a season ago?
  28. Arkansas won three of its last five games last season to win six games and become bowl eligible. Can it make a late push this season? The Hogs need to win two of their last four games and play at Ole Miss, at LSU, vs. Mississippi State and vs. Missouri.
  29. What are the chances that someone out there will get confused into thinking Saturday will be a big day in college hoops with matchups like Duke-North Carolina, Syracuse-Louisville and Kansas-Texas?
  30. Florida has apparently been teasing different helmets (and presumably different uniforms) for this week’s Homecoming game against Vanderbilt. Will the Gators wear the uniforms they wore in the 2009 SEC Championship against Alabama, or are they something different entirely?
  31. Clemson is favored by 10.5 points in its contest against Florida State. Is that being a little generous to Clemson?
  32. Laquon Treadwell faces the SEC’s worst pass defense this week, Arkansas, which is allowing an average of 273 yards per game. Is it safe to say he’ll be adding to his NFL Draft highlight package on Saturday?
  33. And that he’ll record a fifth straight game with 100 receiving yards and a touchdown?
  34. Central Florida (0-9) and Kansas (0-8) are the only two winless FBS teams left. Can the Knights (at Tulsa) or Jayhawks (at Texas) finally notch victories?
  35. Kentucky will be without RB Stanley “Boom” Williams on Saturday against Georgia. Sophomore RB Mikel Horton stepped up with 14 carries for 109 yards to go with 1 catch for 19 yards last week against Tennessee. Can he help carry the Wildcats’ ground game again this week?
  36. Each of the last two games between Auburn and Texas A&M has been decided by 4 points or fewer. Will we see another close one at Kyle Field this Saturday?
  37. Will Florida true freshman WR Antonio Callaway record his third straight 100-yard receiving game against a solid Vanderbilt defense?
  38. Arkansas RB Alex Collins is 40 rushing yards away from recording his third straight 1,000-yard rushing season. Is he the most underrated player in the SEC?
  39. Did anyone notice that five of the top seven teams in the CFP rankings were off last week? Every team in the top 25 will be in action, or already has been in action, this week.
  40. LSU kicker Trent Domingue is the only FBS kicker who’s still perfect on field goal tries this season. Does he keep his perfect mark intact this week against Alabama?
  41. Meanwhile, LSU QB Brandon Harris has yet to throw an interception while throwing 9 TDs. Will he throw his first pick against an Alabama defense that’s tied with Ole Miss for the most interceptions in the SEC with 12?
  42. Harris has also thrown for at least 200 yards and 2 TDs in each of his last three games. Can he keep that streak alive against the Tide?
  43. We’ve seen unbelievably crazy finishes in each of the last three weeks with Michigan State, Georgia Tech and Miami pulling off improbable wins. Will we see a fourth straight this week?
  44. There are only five FBS teams that rank among the top 20 in both scoring offense and scoring defense. Can you name them? Don’t read No. 45 unless you’ve given up.
  45. Ohio State, Clemson, Houston, Appalachian State and Boise State.
  46. Baylor (one of only three Big 12 teams that’s unbeaten in conference play) beat Kansas State (one of only three winless teams in conference play) by just a touchdown last night. Is that cause for concern for the Bears despite the promising performance from QB Jarrett Stidham, who’s filling in for the injured Seth Russell?
  47. Which Big 12 team stays unbeaten in Stillwater this Saturday: TCU or Oklahoma State?
  48. How many unbeaten teams will there be in this year’s College Football Playoff? There was only one last season (Florida State).
  49. Should the Pac-12 be concerned that none of its teams are ranked in the top 10?
  50. What percentage of SEC haters would you say spend more time watching SEC football than anything else that’s even on TV? Period?
