The Associated Press Top 25 Week 1 rankings were just released and eight SEC teams made the cut.

Florida State remains as the nation’s top-ranked team, and despite having a so-so performance against West Virginia, Alabama stays put at No. 2. Auburn rounds out the Top 5 with LSU, Georgia and Texas A&M all making a jump in the rankings.

South Carolina opened the season at No. 9, but after losing by 24 points at home to Texas A&M, the Gamecocks fell to No. 21. Four different SEC teams received at least one first-place vote. You can view the preseason AP Poll right here.
