We’re all guilty of being blinded by our fondness of the way certain players play the game.

But SEC Network color commentator Andre Ware was taking things to a new level on Saturday during his call of the Tennessee-Vanderbilt game.

PAST CRITICIZING THE BROADCASTERS: Week 1 | Week 2 | Week 3 | Week 4 |Week 5 | Week 6 | Week 7 | Week 8 | Week 9 | Week 10 | Week 11 | Week 12

The former Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback was impressed with Tennessee QB Joshua Dobbs. And there was a lot to like from the junior in the Vols’ 53-28 dismantling of the Vanderbilt defense.

Several times throughout the broadcast, Ware compared Dobbs to former Auburn QB Cam Newton.

Yes, the same Cam Newton that demolished college football on his way to winning a Heisman Trophy, SEC championship, BCS national title and becoming the No. 1 selection in the NFL Draft.

Considering even Vols fans have been critical of the downfield passing ability of Dobbs, those comparisons seemed out of place and raised plenty of eyebrows.

The masses on Twitter, including former Vols kicker James Wilhoit, were critical of Ware:

This type of undue praise left these folks to come to the only logical conclusion:

Though, we will say this for Ware. He did bring together a group of fans that hardly agree on anything:

SEC fans still don’t like Beth Mowins

ESPN keeps trotting Mowins out to give play-by-play on early kickoff games, and SEC fans keep complaining when they have to listen.

She was on the call for the Georgia-Georgia Tech game on Saturday, and Bulldogs fans were not happy.

The Twitter reaction was harsh, but here are some of the clean complaints:
