AP Top 25: SEC has 9 teams ranked in new poll after perfect Week 1

The new AP Top 25 is out! Thanks to the Labor Day Weekend festivities that saw Week 1 college football games played all the way into Monday (a game that actually finished Tuesday morning, thanks to a power outage), the poll was released on Tuesday instead of its usual Sunday afternoon.
The SEC enjoyed a perfect 16-0 start to the season. As such, the 9 SEC teams that were ranked in the preseason poll remain ranked entering Week 2.
Week 1 was lacking some of the marquee matchups fans have come to expect on Labor Day Weekend. Sunday’s Ole Miss-Louisville neutral-site clash in Nashville was the only matchup of teams ranked in the preseason poll. The Rebels won 41-38 and remained at No. 9.
LSU was in the national spotlight with a primetime Saturday night kickoff and College GameDay pregame show for the Battle of Death Valley with Clemson. The Bayou Bengals won a 51-10 blowout and have moved up from No. 11 to No. 8.
