According to a recent report by the Associated Press, former USC football player Brian Baucham is suing his school and former coach Lane Kiffin, accusing both parties of making him play in a game while he wasn’t yet healthy.

A cornerback in 2012, Baucham claims Kiffin forced him into action despite multiple concussions two months prior. Baucham says he suffered cardiopulmonary damage and brain injury when he played against California on Sept. 22, 2012.

Baucham collapsed on the field during the second half and was taken to a hospital by ambulance. He spent several days on a ventilator.

AgnewBrusavich, a law firm representing Baucham, says it filed the suit Monday.

USC has declined comment on the story. No comments have been made by Kiffin, now Alabama’s offensive coordinator.
