Arkansas coach Bret Bielema must have been serious about going to Michigan’s practice.

Bielema tweeted out on Wednesday that he was thinking about attending the Wolverines’ “open practice” with the rest of his Razorbacks staff today in Bradenton, Fla. Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio replied that he may join him, asking if he wanted to do lunch in the area.

Well, Bielema tweeted this morning that the NCAA reached out to him and essentially said no.

The NCAA’s reasoning is interesting since Jim Harbaugh’s staff and players are allowed on a high school campus during this so called “quiet period” in recruiting.

Maybe the office told Bielema more than that? Anyways, the saga continues.
