Starting our daily look at top recruits in each SEC state, the first stop is in Alabama where the Crimson Tide and Tigers continue to rule the roost but the Gators and Bulldogs (not Georgia) have managed to snag a few prospects.

The two biggest prizes in the state, five-star linebackers Ben Davis and Lyndell Wilson are still undecided.

Based onย 247Sportsโ€™ 2016 composite rankings by state, here are Alabamaโ€™s 10 best prospects and where theyโ€™re headed (comments where necessary):

1. Ben Davis, ILB, 6-3, 240, Gordo (5-star, uncommitted): Davis will save his final two official visits for Auburn (Jan. 22) and Alabama (Jan. 29) but most feel like the top inside linebacker in the nation will continue the legacy his father Wayne Davis started in Tuscaloosa.

2. Lyndell โ€œMackโ€ Wilson, 6-2, 220, OLB, Montgomery (5-star, uncommitted): Wilsonโ€™s recruitment doesnโ€™t appear to be as cut and dry. Heโ€™s named Florida as his leader, but Kirby Smartโ€™s move to Georgia has the Bulldogs in a good position to jump in the mix. Alabama and Auburn are there too with the Tide holding a big edge in crystal ball predictions (74 percent)

3. Marlon Davidson, 6-4, 260, DE, Montgomery (5-star, committed to Auburn): Davidson re-affirmed his commitment to the Tigers before the dead period.

4. Deonte Brown, 6-3, 350, OG, Decatur (4-star, committed to Alabama)

5. Quinnen Williams, 6-4, 265, DT, Birmingham (4-star, committed to Alabama)

6. John Broussard, 6-0, 164, CB, Phenix City (4-star, committed to Auburn)

7. Jeremiah Moon, 6-4, 205, OLB, Birmingham (4-star, committed to Florida): Moon has been committed to Florida for a few months and says heโ€™s solid but Mississippi State continues to be in the picture. Both schools will get official visits in January.

8. Jamal Couch, 6-5, 210, ATH/WR, Phenix City (3-star, uncommitted): Former FSU commit left the Seminoles earlier in the month and it seems like Mississippi State has the edge over Florida and Georgia for Couch. The team that wants him on offense will have the advantage.

9. Jeawon Taylor, 6-2, 190, S, Montgomery (3-star, committed to Florida)

10. Erroll Thompson, 6-2, 230, ILB, Florence (3-star, committed to Mississippi State)
