Taking to Twitter on Saturday morning, top 2017 JUCO prospect Isaiah Buggs revealed the announcement date for his college choice:

Considered the No. 8 JUCO prospect in the country, the defensive lineman has a final list consisting of many SEC schools.

Buggs will visit Alabama this upcoming weekend before making his choice next Wednesday. Standing at 6-foot-5, 280 pounds, Buggs is physically ready for the rigors of high D1 football. He’s the sort of instant-impact player schools are pining for — in particular Alabama, LSU, Auburn, Florida, and Florida State.

It appears as if Buggs recruitment may come down to the Crimson Tide and the (LSU) Tigers. A native of Ruston, La., LSU head coach Ed Orgeron would love nothing more than to land the local product.

Lewis Neal will graduate — leaving a gaping hole at one end spot. Buggs could ultimately fill this position quite nicely.

With that said, Alabama gets the last chance to make an impression. In terms of being a “closer” in the recruiting world, there are few able to parallel the effectiveness of Nick Saban.
