Deadly flooding has hit Louisiana lately, causing massive destruction to the Baton Rouge area.

Last year, when flooding damaged South Carolina, LSU sent supplies to the Gamecocks to aid flood victims.

That gesture, as well as the LSU band playing South Carolina’s alma mater after a game that had to be moved from Columbia to Baton Rouge, was not forgotten by the Gamecocks.

On Saturday, the South Carolina band saluted LSU in its time of need by playing LSU’s alma mater during a practice session:

The gesture accompanies the arrival of two truckloads of supplies sent from South Carolina to LSU to help aid victims of the flooding.

Though they may be rivals on the field, it’s great to see two universities working together during times of need in their respective hometowns.
