While there are only six games to watch featuring SEC teams this Saturday following the Thursday night Kentucky-Auburn tilt, there’s not a terrible looking matchup on tap, and we have two top 10 battles in store along with an extremely interesting non-conference contest. We’ve learned a few things about each conference team in the first few weeks, and now we’ve rated all six games on watchability. These rankings are subjective but factor in league and national impact along with how exciting and how close the games will be. Games are ranked on a 1-5 Georgia Dome scale (the site of the SEC Championship Game), with 5 being the most watchable game and 1 being the least.

5 GEORGIA DOMES

No. 10 Alabama at No. 9 Texas A&M, 3:30 p.m. ET, CBS — This has potential to be a classic. The Aggies are trying to stay undefeated and get some revenge for the absolute throttling they suffered in Tuscaloosa last year. Alabama has been up and down a bit this season and Texas A&M’s spread offense is the type that can give the Crimson Tide trouble, but you have to believe Alabama will be ready. What can Kevin Sumlin and Co. come up with after a bye week to throw the Tide off? Will the same Bama team that dominated at Georgia show up in College Station? We can’t wait to find out.

No. 8 Florida at No. 6 LSU, 7 p.m., ESPN — The Gators rose into the top 10, then lost starting quarterback Will Grier to suspension. What will that mean heading into Death Valley where Florida already faced the big challenge of trying to slow Leonard Fournette down enough to compete against the undefeated Tigers? Both teams have steadily climbed up the rankings all season for a reason, but one will have proven its worth by the end of the night. If Florida gets the victory, it becomes hard to imagine the Gators not winning the SEC East. If LSU wins, it has successfully avoided another landmine on the way to the West Division title.

4 GEORGIA DOMES

No. 13 Ole Miss at Memphis, noon, ESPN2 — Ole Miss fans will probably never recognize this as a rivalry game, but this has all the makings of an extremely entertaining regional “rivalry” in a stadium that should be split pretty evenly between Rebels and Tigers. Both offenses are explosive, and this might be the best team Memphis has ever fielded. The Tigers would love nothing more than to legitimize its run at a major bowl game or maybe even a playoff spot by beating one of the SEC’s best. Ole Miss certainly doesn’t want to let that happen against a team it’s traditionally looked down on.

3 GEORGIA DOMES

Missouri at Georgia, 7:30 p.m. ET, SECN — The two-time defending SEC East champs versus the prohibitive preseason favorite doesn’t have quite the marquee look we might have guessed early in the season. Both the Tigers and the Bulldogs have fallen out of the Top 25 with early season losses and both have been hit hard by injuries. What can Georgia do without Nick Chubb? Can freshman Drew Lock settle into the starting quarterback job for Mizzou? Both questions need to be answered for either team to wind up in Atlanta at the end of the season.

2 GEORGIA DOMES

Vanderbilt at South Carolina, 4 p.m. ET, SECN —  This would otherwise be simply a matchup of bottom-tier SEC teams fighting to stay out of the East Division basement. But Steve Spurrier’s sudden retirement this week offers an extra level of interest. How will the Gamecocks respond?

Louisiana Tech at Mississippi State, noon, SECN — Louisiana Tech hardly represents a gimme for Mississippi State, but with Dak Prescott playing quarterback in the land of the cowbells, MSU should likely survive without too much issue.
