It’s November, so really there’s nothing else to do other than hunker down and watch as much college football as possible. There’s a huge game in Tuscaloosa this weekend, but it’s certainly not the only SEC game worth watching this Saturday. We’ve learned a few things about each conference teams in the first half of the season and now we’ve rated all six games of this weekend’s games on watchability.

These rankings are subjective, but factor in league and national impact along with how exciting and how close the games will be. Games are ranked on a 1-5 Georgia Dome scale (the site of the SEC Championship Game), with 5 being the most watchable game and 1 being the least.

5 GEORGIA DOMES

No.2 LSU at No. 4 Alabama, 8 p.m. CBS — If you were upset about seeing the Crimson Tide in a playoff position when the first College Football Playoff rankings came out, don’t worry. By the end of the night on Saturday the Tide will have either earned their spot or played their way out of it. We talk about postseason implication all the time, but in terms of shaking out who will make the top four and play for a national title, few games will be any bigger. It’s always entertaining when these two teams get together, but even more so when the stakes are so high. If you like college football even a little bit, this is the game to tune into. If you like smash mouth running games and defenses, this one is a can’t miss.

4 GEORGIA DOMES

Arkansas at No. 18 Ole Miss, 3:30 p.m. ET, CBS — The Rebels still control their own destiny in the SEC West and could be playing in Atlanta if they win out. But that means no slips ups if Ole Miss wants to play spoiler to favorites Alabama and LSU. Arkansas is a team capable of throwing a wrench in the works for the rest of the division. After a rough start, the Razorbacks have beaten Tennessee and given Alabama all it wanted in Tuscaloosa. There’s no reason to think Arkansas can’t make it tough on Ole Miss, especially if it can control the tempo.

3 GEORGIA DOMES

Georgia at Kentucky, Noon, SECN — Kentucky is desperate to stop a skid and get back on track to make their first bowl game since the 2010 season. Georgia’s Mark Richt may be coaching for his job in what has been a bitterly disappointing season for the Bulldogs, so there’s more at stake than you might expect for a game between middle-of-the-pack SEC East teams. Beyond that both teams feature some great athletes. Georgia has struggled to slow down good running backs. Could UK’s Stanley Williams be next?

2 GEORGIA DOMES

Vanderbilt at No. 10 Florida, Noon, ESPN — Don’t watch for the Commodores, who let the SEC down with a blowout loss at Houston last week. Watch for the Gators, who are a blast under new coach Jim McElwain and who should wind up in the College Football Playoff if they keep winning. Florida just keeps finding more and more players who can contribute in a big way. Who will it be this week?

Auburn at No. 19 Texas A&M, 7:30 p.m. ET, SECN — Auburn has long past the point of relevance this season, but Texas A&M is still interesting, particularly after last week’s quarterback change yielded strong results. Is Kyler Murphy really the dual threat the Aggies have been missing since Johnny Manziel went pro, or was last week a fluke? If Murray is legitimately ready for the big stage then he changes the outlook for the Aggies.

1 GEORGIA DOME

South Carolina at Tennessee, 4 p.m. ET, SECN — If you have to cut one game out of your viewing schedule this week, this is the one. This game isn’t going to have much of an impact on the conference race, but Tennessee is good enough it shouldn’t have much trouble taking care of a weak Gamecocks club.
