Using numbers as a guide, here are 20 facts to consider heading into Week 3 of the SEC schedule:

  1. After last week’s pick-six against ECU, Florida now has 20 interceptions returned for a touchdown since 2008, which is tied with TCU for the most in FBS during that span.
  2. Arkansas and Ole Miss are two of just four FBS teams that have not experienced a three-and-out series on offense this season. The other two are Georgia Tech and UConn.
  3. Missouri‘s defense leads the SEC in both points allowed (11.5 per game) and yards allowed (209 per game).
  4. LSU enjoyed its 28th 200-plus yard rushing game under the direction of Les Miles last week. The Tigers have won the last 18 games in which they accumulate at least 200 yards on the ground.
  5. Since 2011, Vanderbilt is 16-4 against non-SEC opponents. The Commodores enter Saturday’s game against Austin Peay as the only SEC team without a victory this season.
  6. Auburn is 20-2 in its last 22 SEC openers.
  7. After finishing 2014 tops in the league and fourth nationally with a plus-16 turnover margin, Georgia is again best in the league through two weeks with a plus-4 margin.
  8. Mississippi State WR Fred Ross leads the SEC and ranks 14th in the FBS with 14 catches through two games.
  9. Missouri leads the nation with 25 tackles for loss through two weeks.
  10. Ole Miss has scored 49 or more points in back-to-back games for the first time ever in the same season.
  11. A South Carolina running back has topped 100 yards rushing in four of the last five meetings with Georgia. Brandon Wilds led the Gamecocks with 93 yards last season, snapping a four-game streak, but South Carolina won anyway.
  12. Arkansas ranks No. 2 in the FBS with 21 pass plays for more than 15 yards.
  13. Tennessee is 5-0 all-time against FCS opponents, with an average score of 47-8. The Vols host Western Carolina on Saturday.
  14. Vanderbilt leads the SEC in both time of possession and fewest penalty yards, but the Commodores have been crippled by a league-worst turnover margin (minus-6) and red zone conversion rate (33 percent).
  15. Florida‘s defense has allowed just 51 yards on 40 rushing attempts so far this season. The Gators are holding opponents to 1.2 yards per attempt. Kentucky is averaging 6.0 yards per attempt.
  16. Kentucky QB Patrick Towles threw for 369 yards in last season’s overtime loss at Florida, and ECU quarterbacks threw for 346 yards against the Gators last week.
  17. Alabama is 18-6 under Nick Saban when the team appears on a game featured as a host site for ESPN College GameDay.
  18. Ole Miss beat the Crimson Tide last season while GameDay was in Oxford.
  19. Speaking of Ole Miss, the Rebels’ 149 points during the last two games are the most in a two-game span in school history. The previous record was 131 from Oct. 22-29, 1904.
  20. LSU coach Les Miles is 5-0 against Auburn at Tiger Stadium, and 7-3 overall against the Tigers from The Plains.
