For the third time this week, a South Carolina commit has announced that he won’t sign with the program.

The latest comes from defensive end Cecil Stallings, a three-star prospect out of Atlanta who committed to the Gamecocks back in July under the old coaching regime.

His coach at Tucker High School, Bryan Lamar, informed The State of that news on Friday. Apparently, the news isn’t a shock as Stallings told The State back in December that Will Muschamp and defensive coordinator Travaris Robinson told him they weren’t positive he fit South Carolina’s system.

The Gamecocks’ new coaching staff wasn’t keeping in close touch with the recruit, who’s rated as a three-star prospect by 247Sports.

Receiver Tre Jackson and linebacker JaCorey Morris also announced in the last week that they wouldn’t sign with the Gamecocks after once committing to the school.
