Texas A&M returns to Kyle Field following a week off to take on the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks (3-4). Here is a look at some of the statistics behind the matchup.

THE GOOD

  • 7.1. The Warhawks are giving up 7.1 yards per passing attempt, a figure that would rank them 10th in the SEC. The Aggies struggled to throw the ball against two teams, Mississippi and Alabama, that rank second and fourth in the SEC, respectively, in those categories.
  • 58.3. Texas A&M has gotten picked apart through the air during its three-game skid, allowing opponents to complete 67.9 percent of their pass attempts at 9.4 yards per attempt. Warhawks quarterback Pete Thomas isn’t that proficient, completing just 58.3 percent of his passes at 5.9 yards per attempt.
  • 2.7. ULM has been putrid running the ball this season, churning out a meager 2.7 yards per carry. That’s welcome news for the Aggies, who give up 4.5 yards per carry on average and just got gashed for 298 yards in their last game against Alabama. Over the Aggies’ last three games, they’ve given up 6.5 yards per carry.

THE BAD

  • 26. Louisiana-Monroe has multiple sacks in every game so far this season and 26 total on the year. Texas A&M’s offensive line hasn’t been as solid as most expected them to be, and Kenny Hill has struggled when he’s felt pressure. Be it Hill or Kyle Allen starting, the offensive line will have to keep the pass rush off of the quarterback.
  • 30.3. A big part of Texas A&M’s offense is making third down conversions to keep drives alive and the offensive pace up. That could be hard to do against ULM, as the Warhawks have only allowed opponents to convert 30-of-99 (30.3 percent) third down attempts this season.
