Now this one could be a lot of fun.

Tennessee athletic director John Currie apparently has been all over the country in the past few days.

Since Tennessee’s fan base essentially blocked his hiring of Greg Schiano on Sunday, it’s been a rough few days. Currie has been turned down by Mike Gundy, Jeff Brohm and Dave Doeren while looking for the Vols’ next head football coach.

It was also reported on Thursday that former Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin isn’t interested in the UT opening.

Now the Vols AD is reportedly turning his attention west.

Currie evidently is in the Los Angeles area, according to Tennessee insider John Brice. And he has apparently interviewed Washington State head coach Mike Leach for the job.

He may have interview another candidate or two, as well, Brice said:

Having Leach in the SEC would be a ton of fun for everyone involved. Whether or not he could win in Knoxville remains to be seen.

Maybe he’ll get a chance.
