Former Tennessee QB Peyton Manning will announce his retirement on Monday, according to a report from ESPN’s Chris Mortensen.

Manning was reported to be leaning towards retiring by Denver Post columnist Woody Paige back in February, but a report surfaced last week from ESPN’s Adam Schefter suggesting that Manning may have been looking for a chance to play one more season in the NFL.

If Manning does make it official on Monday that his career is over, it will end with Manning being considered one of the greatest quarterbacks to have ever played the game.

Manning is a five-time NFL MVP and a two-time Super Bowl champion, who holds the NFL record for career passing yards (71,940) and passing touchdowns (539), among many others.

Fresh off a victory at Super Bowl 50 last month, Manning has the perfect opportunity to go out as a winner.
