The Tennessee Volunteers travel to Oxford, Miss., to take on the No. 3 Ole Miss Rebels (6-0) on Saturday. The Vols are coming off a 45-10 win over Chattanooga. The Rebels took their second consecutive victory over a ranked opponent with a 35-20 rout of then-No. 14 Texas A&M on Saturday. Here are three bold predictions for Saturday’s game.

Bold Prediction No. 1: Tennessee’s offensive line will allow six sacks

Tennessee’s offensive line has allowed 23 sacks this season. In Week 7, the Vols allowed an FCS defense to record six sacks and will face an even greater task on Saturday. The Rebels defensive unit that ranks No. 8 overall in pass defense and No 21 in rush defense. The inexperienced Tennessee o-line will be bullied by one of the best pass rushing units in the country.

Bold Prediction No. 2: Jalen Hurd will see a bounce back performance

Jalen Hurd is saw limited carries in Tennessee’s last two games. The freshman tailback was “dinged” in the Vols’ loss to Florida and finished with 39 yards on 10 carries. Hurd had two attempts for seven yards against Chattanooga, but saw full reps in this week’s practice. Despite facing one of the nation’s top defenses, the former five-star athlete should see an improvement from two disappointing showings.

Bold Prediction No. 3: Tennessee will cover the spread

Ole Miss is a 16.5 point favorite entering Saturday’s game. While the odds of a Tennessee upset are bleak, Saturday’s game could be closer than most expect. The Vols have beaten the spread in two of three underdog matchups this season. Both teams have talented defenses that are capable of keeping the score low. However, Ole Miss’ offense looks more consistent entering Saturday’s game.
