Miami football: Fists, banners flying as Canes sink to new lows
Fire Al Golden banners flying, followed by fists flying.
Just another typical Saturday afternoon in South Florida.
It’s a U thing. They tell us we don’t understand, but what’s so difficult? Miami, which trailed Clemson 42-0 at halftime, is well on its way to arguably Golden’s worst loss as Miami’s embattled coach. The Canes are closing in on 4-3 after going 6-7 last season.
As one might expect, Twitter reacted with the right amount of sensitivity to Golden and the Canes’ situation. It’s so bad right now Florida Gators fans didn’t even need to pile on.
As usual, an anti-Al Golden banner plane has arrived. "Our pilot has as many top 25 wins" hashtag Fire Al Golden pic.twitter.com/fMDoPdjIom

Whoever said the Canes don’t hit clearly hasn’t spent much time in the stands.
#Miami fans scuffling in the stands. Lots of people being ejected. #Clemson up 28-0. pic.twitter.com/vcj0SMuNp3

42-0 Clemson on a pick six and Al Golden may as well walk out of the stadium at halftime. Don't come out of the Locker room man

As usual, veteran Miami sports columnist Dan Le Batard had his pulse on the situation.
Getting to this bonfire late. Dear God, Al Golden.

Imagine how much worse it would be if the Canes actually played an SEC team or two.

OK, Clemson staying on the field at halftime and eating orange slices up 42-0 is the new low for Miami. My goodness.

Clemson only rushed two and still managed to sack Miami’s QB: https://t.co/VLQeb0wMkl pic.twitter.com/tJkid7aHaK
