Alabama has reeled in its second elite cornerback in three days.

The second one came from four-star cornerback Shyheim Carter, the No. 9 cornerback in the Class of 2016 according to 247Sports’ composite ranking.

The Kentwood, La., product chose the Crimson Tide after de-committing from the school in August. He chose Alabama over Ole Miss and Georgia on National Signing Day.

The news comes just two days after fellow four-star cornerback Nigel Knott, the No. 7 CB in the recruiting cycle, also committed to Tuscaloosa. The pair are the only cornerback pledges for the Tide in this class.

Alabama has been successful recruiting the position in recent years, landing two five-star corners in each of the previous two classes.
