Ole Miss beat out Alabama and Mississippi State for one of the country’s top receivers on National Signing Day.
A.J. Brown, rated as the No. 5 receiver and No. 38 overall prospect according to 247Sports’ composite ranking, is now the third four-star receiver for the Rebels in this year’s recruiting class, joining fellow touted wideouts Tre Nixon and DeKaylin Metcalf.
The 6-foot-1, 220-pound wideout chose Oxford despite playing his high school ball in Starkville, Miss. He took his official visit to Ole Miss this past weekend.
He also received offers from notable programs such as Auburn, LSU, Tennessee, Texas and USC.
