Florida’s second-half collapse vs. Tennessee last week was historic to say the least.
After taking a 21-0 lead shortly before halftime, it seemed like the Gators were well on their way to earning their 12th straight win against Tennessee. But the Vols would go on to score 38 straight points to secure a 38-28 win in Knoxville — an unprecedented run for any UF opponent.
It was the most consecutive points allowed by a Florida defense since 1982.
The 38 straight points allowed by Florida last week was the most consecutive in a single game since 1982 when they lost to Georgia 44-0.

All is not lost for the Gators when it comes to what could still be a very tight SEC East race, as they are set to take on Vanderbilt on the road this weekend before getting five of the next six games after that at home.
