Tennessee DB responds to ESPN Radio’s Dan Le Batard questioning his injury

Bizarrely enough, a budding rivalry is forming between ESPN personality Dan Le Batard and Tennessee defensive back Micah Abernathy.

During UT’s loss to Alabama this past weekend, Abernathy appeared to pull up lame with a presumed pulled hamstring on the 85-yard touchdown run by Crimson Tide running back Bo Scarbrough.

Discussing the play on his showย Highly Questionable,ย Le Batard had this to say:

โ€œOh, wait a minute. Was that a fake hamstring injury? Thereโ€™s a lot to be covered hereโ€ฆLook at when someone came up with a mysterious hamstring injury at the 2-yard line after not being able to chase down the guy who is much faster than himโ€ฆHe might be hurt but thatโ€™s his pride talking.โ€

In response to Le Batard’s claim, Abernathy had a short and succinct message…which he tweeted out on Monday:
