If you have the desire to call out former Ole Miss quarterback Bo Wallace online, just be warned, he may come right back at you.

Wallace, most known for his role in helping resurrect the Ole Miss program in the early stages of the Hugh Freeze era, also helped lead East Mississippi Community College to the NJCAA national championship in his only season of JUCO football. While playing in Oxford, Wallace threw for 9,534 yards, 62 touchdowns, and 41 interceptions, he also added 944 yards on the ground and another 19 touchdowns in his three seasons starting under center. The Rebels also improved their record each season under Wallace, from 7-6 to 8-5 to 9-4 in his senior season.

Despite his accomplishments, Wallace finds himself in the finals of And the Valley Shook‘s incredibly named ‘best “good” bad quarterback in SEC history’ competition against former Kentucky quarterback Jared Lorenzen.

This is where things get interesting. Chris B. Brown, the author of two outstanding football books (“The Art of Smart Football” and “The Essential Smart Football”), chimed in with his thoughts on the two quarterbacks. For whatever reason, Wallace did not take kindly to Brown’s opinion.

At this point, Lorenzen has not jumped into the online war of words. We can only hope The Hefty Lefty joins in on the conversation before long.
