Ole Miss has done an admirable job rallying around interim coach Matt Luke since the surprise resignation of former coach Hugh Freeze. The administration has shown confidence in Luke, handing him a hefty raise, and the players have publicly expressed their loyalty to the longtime Ole Miss assistant coach who will now lead them onto the field in the fall.
For all the support shown by the program for Luke, the social media team whiffed pretty badly on its latest attempt.
Considering all the drama surrounding the program and Freeze right now, “You can’t put a price on family” may not have been the wisest choice to roll with at this point.
Ole Miss has deleted the tweet following its posting. Here’s a photo of the tweet:
It would have been easy to predict the flood of immediate responses. Somehow, Ole Miss must not have seen them coming.

Maybe "price" wasn't the best option here.
