Though Ole Miss is in a wait-and-see mode as the NCAA Committee on Infractions reviews a case of wrongdoing by the Rebels’ football program, another case is taking a step forward on Monday.

That would be the Rebel Rags case, in which the clothing store is alleged to have provided improper benefits and apparel to recruits.

The store filed a countersuit claiming Mississippi State players Leo Lewis and Kobe Jones and Laremy Tunsil’s stepfather, Lindsey Miller, conspired against it.

On Monday, a judge will hear motions from Lewis, Jones and Miller to dismiss the suit, according to 247Sports. This will all take place at a courtroom in New Albany, Mississippi.

According to the report, there are several motions being filed today, not just the one to dismiss:

In addition to the motion to dismiss, the defendants are also seeking a change of venue from Lafayette County for the pending trial. Lewis and Jones are also requesting separation from Miller as defendants.

It remains to be seen what the judge will decide, but this case may still have a long way to go before anything final is decided.
