WATCH: Every Kentucky, Tennessee player receives unsportsmanlike conduct penalty after near fight
I don’t recall ever seeing this “blanket” penalty called.
During a kickoff that was a deep touchback in the first quarter, every Tennessee and Kentucky player received an unsportsmanlike conduct foul for a near fight at mid-field. No punches were thrown, and things didn’t get ugly.
But the referees are making sure it doesn’t happen again.
So, if any other player receives an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty, he will be ejected from the game.
At the time of the penalty, Kentucky was winning 7-3.
