LSU DE Rashard Lawrence says loss to Alabama wasn’t a moral victory

The LSU Tigers did what only one other team has done this season, staying within two scores of the Alabama Crimson Tide on Saturday night.
However, in the aftermath of the 24-10 loss, the Tigers aren’t patting themselves on the back for a job well done.
No, according to DE Rashard Lawrence, the Tigers aren’t considering Saturday’s game a moral victory (via AL.com):
“It ain’t no moral victory,” said Lawrence. “We lost the game. We would have liked to have won the game, but we played well on defense. But at the end of the day, we still lost.”
Lawrence added that the Tigers will learn from Saturday’s loss and come back next year ready to compete with the Crimson Tide once again:
“They’re OK. A lot of people, they’re beat before they play these guys,” Lawrence said. They’re a good team. They work hard just like we work hard. But at the end of the day, it’s just another game, man. I think we’ll be a lot better next year.”
The Tigers are now 6-3 on the season, and 3-2 in SEC play. They’ll try to rebound next weekend when they host a struggling Arkansas team.
