The No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs hit the road for their biggest test of the year on Saturday afternoon, taking on the No. 10 Auburn Tigers.

At 9-0, Georgia is having its best start to a season since the Herschel Walker era, but the Dawgs need to win on Saturday to keep their College Football Playoff hopes alive and well.

As always, one of the keys to the game against Auburn will be the Bulldogs’ talented running backs. On SportsCenter on Saturday morning, ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit said the Georgia backfield — comprised of Nick Chubb, Sony Michel and D’Andre Swift — is going to make things tough on Auburn.

“They keep them fresh,” he said. “The guys are unselfish. They have the approach that they just want to win. These guys are willing to share the carries and it’s worked out well for them.

“Georgia will run for two, run for three and then run for 80. You have to stop the explosive plays.”

He added that getting freshman QB Jake Fromm into clear passing situations will be an important part of the Tigers’ success if they’re going to win.

“Can they get him into obvious passing situations? That could be the key to this game.”

Saturday’s game kicks off at 3:30 p.m. Eastern time and can be seen on CBS.
