Gene Chizik has been on both sides of the college football hiring process, and he doesn’t like what’s going on at Tennessee.

The former Auburn coach and North Carolina defensive coordinator is currently an analyst on the SEC Network. In a tweet Thursday, Chizik called the Tennessee search a “circus” as the Vols have moved through to several coaches after fan backlash led to the school moving away from Greg Schiano and having multiple coaches turn the job down.

Chizik appeared to direct his ire at the administration, which caved into the fan base, and allowed the search to get leaked.

Chizik, who won a national title at Auburn in 2010, was let go after he 2012 season, which led him to coach at North Carolina.
