Oklahoma QB Baker Mayfield is one of the most confident football players on the planet, but he and the Sooners were held to just three points in two overtime periods against Georgia in the Rose Bowl.

It was a great performance by the Bulldogs, but some have also called into question some of Oklahoma coach Lincoln Riley’s overtime decisions.

As you can see in the clip below from “The Herd with Colin Cowherd,” the FOX Sports host thinks Oklahoma made a mistake by kicking a field goal in the first overtime:

“Congrats to Georgia, but Oklahoma lost that game,” he says. “Let’s go to the first overtime. Oklahoma’s got to call a timeout. ‘What should we do?’ What should you do? It’s fourth-and-one, 500 yards, Baker Mayfield. You go for it! Instead, Oklahoma lost their confidence.”

Of course, after the Bulldogs settled for a field goal in the first overtime, the Sooners didn’t want to risk failing on the fourth-and-one play.

However, they ultimately lost the game, so naturally there are a lot of questions being asked this week.
