The Alabama Crimson Tide are gearing up for a game against Auburn on Wednesday night, and they’ll be without a talented player for the Iron Bowl rivalry.

Star PG Collin Sexton won’t play against the Tigers, due to an abdominal injury, which he suffered against Texas earlier this year.

The Alabama Twitter account announced the news on Wednesday, just before tipoff:

It’s a big loss for the Tide, who need a win against the red-hot Tigers, who are 16-1 and 4-0 in SEC play. The Tide, on the other hand, are 11-6 and 3-2 in conference action.

Sexton is averaging 19.3 points per game, to go with 3.6 rebounds and 3.4 assists per night.

Check out the Iron Bowl basketball action at 7 p.m. Eastern time on the SEC Network.
