The Ohio State Buckeyes are embroiled in a controversy stemming from coach Urban Meyer’s handling of a 2015 domestic-violence incident involving former WR coach Zach Smith.

The university hired an outside investigator to look into the matter, and on Tuesday, it was revealed how much money Ohio State would pay for the two-week investigation.

According to reporter Jenn Smola, the two-week investigation will cost the university a whopping $500,000:

That’s obviously quite a bit of money for 14 days of work, but based on how many twists and turns this case has taken, it may be well-earned.

The final results of the investigation haven’t been released yet, but it’s fair to say Buckeye Nation is anxiously awaiting the findings.
